I was caged once. It was for my protection, of course. I could have done without the frequent poking and prodding, but it was generally pleasant. The food pellets grew on you after a bit. In time, most of the other inhabitants had either mutated or piled together in a far corner in utter revulsion. On the downside, I was not a fan of the electric shocks or lab assistants in protective suits who kept screaming, "Kill it!"
In the end, they got my hopes up by saying that they were going to send me to a farm where I would be free to run to my heart's content. Since running was a form of exercise, I didn't think that would take too long. Unfortunately, there was a toxic waste spill, the site was abandoned, and the area was labeled a hot zone known as "Elementary School."
Where was I? Oh, yeah. I would miss Mooch. Word is that he's kind of a big deal.
