If you actually are trying to install Kontact may I suggest Native instruments forums.
http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/

Or did it install successfully?

If you are trying to configure it within Sonar could you be a lot more specific?

What do you mean "loads"? Are you in a project or not. What are you doing. You are placing something on tracks?? A softsynth works, a softsynth does not work. You get an error? We need as much detail as possible, please understand what you have written here is fairly meaningless.

Thanks..

I happen to use Kontakt as my go to sample player, and have it working in X3d.

As per Alex's request above, please detail what you are doing, as a series of steps, and elaborate on what is happening when you are having your issues, as well as exactly what the issues are.

Thanks,

Bob Bone

Is it listed among your plugins in Sonar?
If so, what happens when you select it?
If it is not listed, have you tried rescanning your plugins and making sure the folder where Kontakt is installed is among the folders scanned?

try doing a search for "kontakt" on your computer and see where the dll shows ups at.

I get the notion that the OP is running Kontakt as a standalone program.

In order to use it within Sonar he needs to open it as a plugin. To do this goto the browser and click on synths and use the + tab which will drop down a menu of the synths on your system. Click Kontakt and it will open a dialog for set up. Click OK and there you have it.

+1 John,

I have never had issues with Kontakt and I suspect the OP is more about learning the Sonar Interface rather than any kind of *actual* error.

MK, follow Johns easy guide and bingo, happy sampling/playing!
