In PRV, provide more contrast to the active track in the track list on the right. It's definitely better than it was before X2, but It would be even better if a clashing color was used on the active track.

I think the only way you are going to get that point across is to create a mockup image (before/afterwards compared), again another thread.

There you go you can forget about the newsletter.

The problem with this is that without the newsletter (etc) you have to read this forum every day or risk missing out on a particular deal.  If you happen to be waiting for such a deal, you can't miss a day.

That said, there's an awful lot to be learned by reading this forum everyday so I'm not really complaining (it's just that I hate it when things don't work as they should, such as the newsletter and the emails).

But they're apparently working on it, and that's good enough for me.

The short version is that if you rely on VSTi plugins that send MIDI events out, you will get crosstalk into other tracks when you record on them (say from an external MIDI controller). In addition, if you have more than 1 VSTi sending MIDI events out, Sonar will crash. There are no workarounds for these two issues. I absolutely rely on more than one VSTi sending MIDI events out, and since Sonar can't handle this I'm forced to use another DAW that can.

The crash and "crosstalk" have both been addressed in X3D along with other issues related to MIDI out VST's.
We can't guarantee that every, MIDI out issue you ran into was resolved, since that is a mile long thread and the description covers many issues. In the future if you report issues please log a single problem per bug report. It makes tracking them infinitely easier, unambiguous and minimizes the chance of the report being misinterpreted. It also greatly improves the chance of the issue being addressed in a more timely fashion, leading to less frustration for all concerned.

Brilliant stuff .

Still prefer a mystery though! (like watching other people doing the guessing as to what is in X3D, or assuming what won't be in it   ).

This may become an Olympic event. It will take its rightful place along side synchronized swimming.

This is good news, and I don't even use MIDI.  Good to see some bugs in core functionality (as this clearly is) being addressed.  I have noted a few such bugs myself (e.g., snap, zoom) that I hope also get resolved in X3d.

And I for one am appreciative of folks like Silk Tone who raise these issues and keep after them in the spirit of trying to helping all of us get a better product.
