Same symptoms but probably not the same problem (well unlikely, happy to be proven wrong), please check the other steps, maybe start your own thread Clint telling us what you have done.... Thanks....

Ok, so here's the latest:  Playing the track, there was an audio dropout near the end.  Just before that happened, the disk loading indicator flashed red, and it showed 97% or so disk loading.  Then it stopped.  So I checked for fragmentation--0%.  Then I copied the project files from my J drive to my C drive and ran the tune from there and it ran fine (42% by the end).  So you'd think it's a problem with the J drive, except there's been no problem 'til today, and it's having the same glitches (sluggish, slow scrolling, white screening during pastes, etc.) others are having, so....
Any way to go back to X3c?

Again any way you could start your own thread :). Don't want to hijack the Op's issue or cause confusion! Thanks...

Well, the OP's problem seems to be exactly the same as mine--dropouts.  Don't see a hijack going on here.

No the SYMPTOMS are, please move to a new thread...
There's a million reasons for dropouts and you don't know what the reason is.
thankyou.
(does this really need to be debated?).

Alex, you are not a moderator - stop telling people what to do.

You are putting a lot of work into your "Issues" thread, which I thought might keep you occupied, but you're going a bit mad.  Chill.  You are not the Forum Police.

jb101 you of all people know what I said is exactly correct.
I've asked several times politely ...
... Nevermind out of this thread, get it a muddle if you need to.... good luck.
Thanks for calling me mad, I guess it's sticking...

BTW if this is going to end up being some sort of flame war, where a load of people step in and tell me I'm nutter, may I politely request a new thread.... The OP's thread has been hijacked enough. thankyou.//

Playing the victim does not suit you, and may be construed as passive aggressive behaviour by some.

I did not wish to imply that you were mad, merely that your behaviour was becoming that way.  Please chill.

This talk of flame wars is ridiculous - after one comment asking you not to boss everyone around.  Please take a reality check.

There's nothing passive aggressive here mate, I take total offense, please read this loud and clear. I am not playing the victim and I was trying to help resolve OP's problem and I was polite. You are jumping on a bandwagon. Anyway enough thread hogging... just forget it - I will.
