in this forum you have to explicitly:
  1. say how much you love sonar
  2. update your sig
  3. not use asio4all
  4. not use free VSTs
  5. defrag you hard drive
  6. use some third party driver checker
  7. update windoze
then someone might try & reproduce your issue :)

That is something of a generalisation (understatement).  I don't think I have ever asked/done any of the things you list.

I have, on the other hand, spent many hours attempting to reproduce issues that people have come across, or helping them sort it out when it is pilot error (a common event).  I am far from alone in this.

If your post was directed at one person, which it appeared to be, then please have the balls to address them personally, and not hurl monkey poo at everyone around you.

Thank you.

these are the most common responses i've been seeing in the forum recently, monkey poo or no

Meanwhile back at Cakewalk QA...

BTW If you've never done a QA job I thoroughly recommend it, it is hard impossible work. ;)

Most of the people who run into "disrespect" tend to fall into the following categories:

1) People who come off as trolls. Obviously sometimes that person is not a troll but often they are.

2) People who jack every thread they can to complain about things that are not even bugs per say but simply a feature they don't like the way is implemented.

3) People who come out swinging with thread titles like "fix your crap" and proceed with a very nasty rant that tells us very little about their problem.

4) The dead horse beater who gets an answer they don't like and starts another thread o the same thing.

The vast majority of people who post a problem usually get people trying to help them or at the very least a sympathetic "me too" and some form of workaround. It is rare when a person comes in who seems like they have an agenda other than bashing the product is simply attacked for no reason.

+1

What he said.

Funny how the ones who run into disrespect tend to act disrespectfully. Even worse, they tend to be 'empathetically' challenged, are annoyed by their (fair in-kind) treatment and can't make the connection to their own behavior.

X1 Expanded D was very stable Lawp. X2 was stable for many. So far X3 has been very stable.

I get it. Nobody likes to feel they got fleeced on a purchase. There is really only one way to handle that feeling for me and that is direct action. The turning the forum into a battleground approach is just asking to be flamed. Plenty of regulars get flamed too but they tend to be people who seem to contribute little except constant complaining and/or make it known they don't even use Sonar. I have been in the situation with other products that some of the people complai ing have been and I simply stopped buying their product. The thought of spending years complaining on their forum about the same thing never occured to me.
