Every now and then, someone would be whining about how crappy X3 is and how still the bakers are unable to resolve many X2 bugs that have now become zombie bugs in X3. Usually, when this happens, a cakewalk's knight in shining armor would be popping out telling that there is a way around for these bugs but for some reasons would not clearly stipulate how to solve it. With this, may I kindly ask all those sonar X3 luminaries or the administrator of this forum to create a folder wherein all these peskering X3 bugs (including their possible way around)would be listed so as it would be easy for the noobs like me and the unaware on how to resolve their problems.

This kind of question comes up now and again - there's just not a good way for it to happen, because there are so many variations on things, and lots of other reasons, so it just doesn't happen.

What CAN happen though is that if you post issues/problems to the forum, there is a pretty good collective mindset to help each other here, so most times if things can get worked out, they do get worked out.

Boris once looked up a bull's butt in bhutan and properly guessed the price of butter in singapore!

1. Make music.
2. If you encounter a problem while making music, first see if it's pilot error.
3. If it's not, ask the forum whether they've experienced the same problem.
4. If it's a repeatable problem and no one has reported it, report it.

You can take precision out of the art, but you can't take the art out of the precision.

Usually around this time in the release cycle Cakewalk will make a demo available so you'll be able to test for your self.

As others have said its not as easy as you may think to do what you ask. Some items reported on the forum as bugs turn out to be system specific or pilot error. Some get resolved by an update or are in the process of being fixed as in the imminent release of X3d with an as yet to be released fix list (will be available when the update is released). Who would maintain it? There are many posts on the forum where Cakewalk explain their position on the subject of active bug lists and as for the forum we don't have the resources to make a definitive list.

Seeing as it's important to you perhaps you could make it a project and pour through thousands of threads and compile a list of all the reported bugs. Best of luck to you. ;-)

Some of us codgers have to restrain ourselves whenever one of these comes up; when a poster chooses to narcissistically pontificate on the merits of cakewalk products and its customers and then assigns blame to everything under the sun; and refuses to see himself as having any influence at all in his particular situation.
