I was interested in trying out Ozone 5 and they had a freedownload for a trial version. After the download I saw in Cakewalks Vst Plugin folder the following:
Dropzone
 Overtone EQ
 Square I
and two .dlls:
iZotope Ozone 5.dll
 iZOzone 5.dll
When I launch Cakewalk a small popup window appears and it states it is scanning those files in the Vst folder. For the life of me, after Cakewalk starts I see no way to start Ozone. I have been back and forth with them but I don't seem to be making progress.
The latest suggestion they sent was:
"so it may just be that you need to configure Sonar to be looking in the correct VST plug-ins path (in the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager), and then have Sonar rescan."
Has anyone out there used Ozone (any version) with SONAR Home Studio 7/XL?
Thanks in advance!

Greg,
Thanks for getting back to me so soon! I went into the Plugin manager and saw the Ozone 5 was there. I finally figured out how to launch it! Boy , it is not intuitive for a 60 year old fart like meself!
I do have one question, if you don't mind. Can I use Ozone 5 for mastering music I have already done and saved as either .wav, .mp3, or .cda (.cda is from my Korg D3200 DAW)? Do I have to import into Cakewalk to do this?
I started recording at age 10 and worked my way up from two track, to 4 track, to 8 track, & 16 track (all analog). I am still very much adjusting to digital after taking some years off away from recording. Very different mindset.....well for me!
Thanks again and I will play with the demo version of Ozone 5 until my actual version arrives in about a week or so.

You can master with Ozone, but you'll need an audio program that can utilize VSTs in which to master it. SONAR will work fine for that.
Master the wave file.
I'm 56 and have travelled much the same path as you have. I started with Cakewalk software about 11 years ago and find it much easier than tape, that's for sure.
