I have a new pc setup and have c drive for programs an operation system and D drive for music software and content.

A lot but not all of my multisamples are missing.

I of course did some research and amended the win 8.1 registry with the location of the multisample folder on D

I have attached an image of the regedit entry

I tried uninstall and reinstall but the regedit entries stayed the same.

assistance would be appreciated to get dim pro working.

I am on win 8.1 64 bit with dim pro 64 bit

Open Dim Pro and once you open the browser for your program and Press F5, it will refresh the list in the browser window.

I had some prblms upgrading Dim Pro from 32 to 64 bit and placing the Multisamples on the correct drive (D: instead of C:). Uninstalled Dim Pro, deleted the default location of Multisamples on C:, deleted all Dim Pro registry entries which I guess provided a clean install (ran the 04_Dimension_Pro_1_5_Setup.exe file Sonar X2 included extras). Then I installed the expansion packs. Perhaps not enough to drop them in the Multisamples folder on D: since these also come as exe-files and problably make registry changes in order to point to the correct folder? Worked fine ever since with X3.

I ve deleted dim pro again and removed multisample directories and checked that the entry has gone in the registry which it has. when it starts should i leave it to default to c:/multisamples? and then move and adjust registry or change the location at the prompt? I changed the entry on installation before but that failed.

its strange as I kept the original download which was an exe file of 1.6 gb..the latest dim pro file .exe is 2.9 gb and that is the additional files. hopefully that will be the explanation

No, you wrote in the header that you want multisamples on the D-drive. You should let the installer create the folder on that drive.

04_Dimension_Pro_1_5_Setup (came with X2) is 3,067,450 KB (= 2,9 GB)
Digital_Sound_Factory_Symphonic_Strings_HD_PC (also with X2) is 1,367,326 KB (1,3 GB)
Installed in my Multisamples folder on the D-drive the size is 5.13 GB.
Haven't seen any 1,6 GB exe-file.
