@marcos69: Thanks Mark!  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

@cwestmont: I appreciate you taking a listen CW!  It's apparent from your own music that you are influenced by chill.  I love your psychedelic/dreamy production style. :)

@BenMMusTech: Thanks Ben.  I appreciate your insights!  However, I think you're thinking about this as "a song", while I'm thinking about it as "a mood".  I'm going for something dark and brooding, and the bottom end emphasis is intentional.  As for the snare... you may be right, but at this point I think it's just going to stay as is.  I have changed it numerous times already and it seems I can't please everyone.

@emeraldsoul: Not sure about the holy grail, but thanks Tom!  I think the snare is more of a compromise right now, to be honest.  Personally, I preferred the original snappy snare. :)  Anyway, thanks for listening and commenting!

@thepogue: Thanks Tom.  Maybe keep the song on standby for those nights of insomnia? :)  I appreciate you taking a listen!

I really enjoyed this Walt....It was raining while I was listening and really took it to another level!

Nicely done. Good meditation music.

Yup... it gets the point (and title) across.

Very wide and spacious, and clear.    I like the percussive synth part percolating in the background, and the lead synths are a nice almost flute-ish tone while not sounding like a flute.   Cool e-piano lines too.

Regarding the snare, it stuck out to me before the instrumentation had built up around it, but then it seemed to blend a bit better.

Great job Walt!! It accomplishes the mood you set out to create :-) I'd add a longer reverb tail to the snare and lower it a hair, maybe by 1db.

Sorry folks, it looks like I didn't get back and respond to the last few comments back in July!

Also, this is a bump because there's a new version I uploaded today (September 9, 2015).  Thanks again for listening... again! :)

@MGC59: Thanks Mark!  I have yet to try listening to it while it's raining.  Sounds like fun. :)

@bapu: Thank you Ed.  Meditation and chill music can go hand in hand!

@stevec: Thanks Steve.  I added a bunch more percussion recently, and hopefully that'll make the "sticking out" of the snare much less of an issue now.

@twisted6s: Thanks Tony!  I've pretty much changed the snare to death at this point... I hope the latest version suits you. :)

hi Walt, personally would turn that rain pad down, specially in the beginning it's -for my taste- louder than needed and in that nice music too much.
Those flutes around 2.45min have a nasty freq somewhere, maybe sweep around a bell curve EQ and find it/cut it just a few tenths.
Those are just minor things as I could not find anything else :)
But in general sounds fanstastic again, superb !

@Wouter Schijns: Not sure if I found whatever flute frequency was bugging you, but I did get into the neighborhood and drop the flute down a couple dbs.  Can you confirm that I changed the right part in the new mix I just uploaded? :)  I also reduced the rain a few dbs.  Thanks for your observations.
