  • Melodyne greyed out...

Melodyne worked fine and now, not so much. I went to a song and tried to put it in a track and it was greyed out. I then tried it on every track - same story. It had been doing the off and on and now not at all - then...I Re-installed it - same deal. SO what am I missing. I thought there might be a post on this, but when I searched I didn't find one. I am hesitant about re-installing Sonar X3 but will if that will fix the mess.
I am using Win7 - 64bit Sonar X3c - 16Gb ram - i5-2500k cpu @ 3.3GHz - SSD for opSYS and 1 TB raid 10 for storage.
Thanks!

That just happened to me yesterday.  The solution I got from this forum was to bounce to clip or track.

After that, both Melodyne and V-Vocal were active.  It started when I opened an older project with X3.  Try bouncing and see.

Thanks for the help but that didn't do it. I also am using an older project that I had done some slight vocal tweaks. This morning I opened up the same file and the clips that I had worked on before now worked (??!@#?). I am now trying to take the snare track (audio clip) and turn it into a midi track using Melodyne. I did this before on a bass guitar track and it worked fine, however on this particular project I can't seem to get any track to create a region.

Check the clip to make sure AudioSnap isn't activated - that has always been the trouble when it has happened to me even though I had never (knowingly) activated AS on the clip/track
