I love that you can define a range on the ProChannel FX Chain nobs so that you can twist all the way back and forth to bring about a relatively small change in the parameter. I would love to be able to map this to my pedal, but when I use ACT and I click on the FX Chain, I don't see how to assign the nob to the pedal. I can assign the pedal to all sort of other things a volume fader or a anything else ACT possible. Further, if I could assign it to a group that would do the trick too, but I don't seem able to assign the FX Chain nobs to a group either.
 
Am I missing a step?
 
To add to my irritation, I'm almost certain I've done this before, but maybe it was with guitar rig... I guess I spend most of my time just playing my physical guitars and I forget how to plug in my soft stuff. I hope it's never the other way around. :-)

The smart panel controls can group of features and set ranges where appropriate. Add something to a control on the smart panel by dragging the object to the control and select a feature. Right-click the control to display a popup to edit the items in the control. It is all covered in the TH2 Manual in the "Taking Control Locally" section.

Yes, you're right. I wasn't able at first try to set the upper and lower bounds for the controls, but I was able to adjust the curve so that you move fast through the lower region and slowly (read with more precision) through the higher regions.
 
So super cool!!

To set the min/max values open the smart control edit screen (where you made the curve adjustment). Set the min value on the TH2 object to control, notice how the current value changes. When the min value is reached, click the blue arrow pointing to the min column. Repeat for max. You can reverse the min/max with the double arrow just to the left of the max arrow setting.

We both learned something. I had used the smart controls for grouping on/off but never messed with min/max before today. I usually hand draw automation.

I'm just finishing up an awesome fun session where I tied 3 parameters to the same foot pedal and recorded automation on all of them with different ranges set. It's a whole new thing really An expression pedal you can tie to any set of controls where each control has a different range and curve.

Btw, just as an addition, I called support today and the support tech confirmed that the fact that you can't tie the nobs on the FX Chain PC Modules to midi looks like a bug.
 
Also, there is some strange bug when you want to record automation and you click the W on the track and the W on the TH2 turns red, but then does NOT record the automation. Unchecking the TH2 W and re-checking it resolves the issue, so it's a simple work around.
