Is there plans to update the driver for Win 10 compatibility?

I have the same problem. I tried with the Windows 8.1 drivers but it doesn't work. I wrote to Roland, Roland US, Roland iberia (because I'm from Spain) and Cakewalk, but no one gave me solutions... Bad support.
If you get it, please, tell me how. Thanks in advance!

I wrote to Roland support and here was there reply.  Last time I checked the link the vs100 wasn't listed.  I would suggest writing and expressing concern.  Maybe if enough people do they will release them.  Sorry, I feel your pain.

We sent a request for updated drivers to our corporate Roland/ BOSS headquarters in Japan. At this time, they have not informed us regarding when, or if, they plan to release updated drivers. We hope this information is available soon. You may periodically check the Windows 10 compatibility page here:

Hi there!
Yeah, I received the same reply few days ago. However, none of the V-Studio interfaces is listed yet. I guess it's soon... Anyway, I visit the website every days for check it.
Hopefully we have luck!

There is a walk around for the 8.1 drivers here: http://forum.cakewalk.com/How-to-use-V700-win-8-driver-in-win-10-also-applies-to-some-other-Roland-drivers-m3206046.aspx

Both my 100 and 700 are now working fine.

I tried last sunday. I did all the steps but not worked for me. Then, I tried installing the Windows 8.1 drivers again, but an error message says me that I need to uninstall the drivers before. So I do it, restart my computer and press install again, but the message reappears over and over, even though the drivers has been uninstalled yet.
I prefer to wait the updated drivers. If several people in the forums got it, the makers must get it too.
Anyway, thanks for share it, TerraSin!

I had that same exact issue. For one, I was copying the wrong one. I was using the VS-700 one that was posted in the top post and changing the 700's to 100's. This is the one you want here:

;---------------------------------------------------------------;
[Manufacturer]
%MfgName%=Roland,NTamd64.6.2,NTamd64.10
;[ControlFlags]
;ExcludeFromSelect=*
[Roland]
;; Windows7 - Windows XP 64
;; not supported
[Roland.NTamd64.10]
;; Windows8
%RDID0099DeviceDesc%=RDID0099Install, USB\VID_0582&PID_00EB ; VS-100
[Roland.NTamd64.6.2]
;; not supported
;===============================================================;

It will still come up as an error when you try and install it though, so what I did was turn on my VS-700. It will do the whole "loading device" thing and when it searches for the driver, point it to the folder with the driver in it. It loaded up fine after that. I was losing my mind for a bit with that error because there was nothing to uninstall so I decided to try the old fashioned way and it worked fine. :)

Don't hold your breath waiting. I messaged Roland the other day and they aren't sure when or if Japan is sending them the drivers. It took quite a few months with Win8 if I remember correctly. I planned on waiting as well but I have things to do so... yah. Work waits for no one!

Give that a try, good luck!

Hi again, TerraSin!

I saw your comment and today I have tried reinstalling the drivers, copying and pasting that text, because last time I wrote VS700's text.

I have done all steps in the post one more time, but when I press ''install'' the error message appears again, so I turn my V-STUDIO 100. My computer loads it, but it doesn't give me the ''search the driver folder'' option, simply it loads the device. Then, I go to startmenu/config/devices/connecteddevices (I guess that's named so in english) and there is VS100 with a message that say ''not available''.
I guess I'm a disaster with these things... All the same, thank you so much! (;

If the Windows 8.1 drivers were uploaded late, it will not be different with the Windows 10 drivers, I suppose

You should be able to look for it manually through device manager. It will show up in the unknown devices area. Just right click and search for driver.
