VSM 3 has a lot of control of it's distortion. You can get almost any type you want with enough twisting knobs. What is really unique about it is that it has control over second and third harmonics, with ability to blend these two to your desire. With it being $149 right now, if you got a voucher to go along with that, you get a good deal.
I also have the console plugins. All the SSL, the N console, and the Lindell Channel X. All of these sound really good and are on par with Waves SSL emulations. The bx_Console plugins have a neat feature that allow you to put them on all you channels then press a button that emulates a different channel of a mixer, on all instances of the plugin in your project, up to 72 different channels. I thought it was a bunch of marketing BS when I read about it, but it ends up being one of the best features that I like about them.
