Hello all,

I have a song I recorded in Sonar 8.5.0. It's purely MIDI. I want to export a MIDI file to send to a friend to pull into another DAW (Reaper) to record other tracks in his studio. When I play the song in Sonar it sounds as it should. However, when I export it as MIDI a bunch of previous takes that I punched over show up in the MIDI file. When I look at event view it looks like all the previous junk takes are in there - but clearly Sonar can sort them out since it's only playing the right, final take.

How can I clean the junk out of my track and save only the final take as MIDI?

Thanks in advance for your help! I am a newbie/oldbie - started using Cakewalk in 1990, but have been out of it for a long time.

I figured it out ...

I turned on "Track Layers" view in the track and was able to delete the older takes, after which it saved as expected.
Until next time ...
