  • What do you think about the Waves Renaissance Maxx Bundle? (p.2)

Does anyone know if the IR-L Convolution Reverb included in the bundle is zero latency?  If it is, it would make this pack particularly interesting to me, as I've been looking to buy a zero latency convolution reverb anyway.

Is there such a think as a zero latency convolution plug?

I have tried a demo if the IR -L Convolution. But it also have 3-4 presets IR and I couldn't do anything else with it. X3 bundled perfect space is better sounding IMHO.

There is a 5GB library with it that's downloadable for any Waves customer. It covers a wide range of spaces and sounds excellent.

Oh and IR-L has a fixed latency of 11.6 ms I think that's automatically compensated for by Sonar.

I had the exact same question and did some searches.  Several of the mclaim to be zern latencey, although i am sure "extremely low latency" is more accurate.

...wicked
There was a time when nearly all I used were the Ren series. The RenComp, RenEQ, and RenVerb were my go-to plugs.

Now, there's already so much inside SONAR that can do my bread and butter stuff. I like the idea of a steamlined toolbag that has a little more futureproofing in it, and since most of it is folded into the Pro-Channel my preset library is making my feng shui shift way more towards "less is more".

The plugs are awesome, don't get me wrong, but there is something that comes default with X3 that matches all of those.

I almost never feel the need to use RenEQ or RenVerb. But I haven't found anything that matches RComp soundwise or feature wise in the tools included in Sonar. RVox is simple but very good and useful, and I much prefer IR-L over Sonar's verbs for realistic spaces and room placement (although I never had any good libraries for Perfect Space). Also, afaik there is nothing like RBass in Sonar, even if I don't use it quite that much. Just my opinion of course, but I definitely think there is great value there, even for Producer customers.

I finally got into Waves plugins by getting the Renaissance bundle. Paid $75 for it at Audio Deluxe today.
