I have downloaded the VKFX delay and well, Overloud don't seem to have clocked my registration. No email replies etc...

Thank you Alex, I have checked my junk/spam folder, and no, it's not there. And I also contacted Overloud support via that link and have heard nothing. Odd

I remember purchasing software from Overloud sometime about 8 months ago. It took 4 or 5 days to return my first email, but from then on they were fairly quick, a day or less.

I received two serial numbers from Overloud for the VKFX Suite
- One for ProChannel
- One for VST plugins

Somewhat confusing, but the ProChannel serial number seems to have allowed me to put them in the channel strips just fine. Why/what is the VST separate...as far as I can tell there is only one plugin set and they are VST2 (at least that is where they show up)

My question is: What is the real difference between a ProChannel and a VST2 plugin??

They are the same modules. The VST plug-in is the original product and has the modules organized into a single plug-in with a master control and a bunch of presets.

I noticed the same thing today. I wanted to register the VST version first so I opened an instance of the amp in my fx bin. The registration came up and I entered the VST key I'd gotten. Watched the progress bar for a bit and then got an error that I had the wrong serial and if I was sure it was the right product I was trying to authorize. Tried the PC key in the same window and it worked. Checking my registration through login confirmed I had authorized the PC version only. Yet I could use both VST versions and PC versions freely. When I opened Ableton and inserted an instance of the amp I got another registration dialog and could finally complete the VST one, to use in other DAWs.

Very strange, especially since there were two specific installers. It seems CW only requires/uses the PC version?

Actually I find that I am better off using the VST versions as inserts than posting them in the ProChannel box, as the controls don't work with the mouse wheel when they're pasted as ProChannel blocks. Works fine in the separate window version, and you can pop them up and close them at will.
