  • Problem with console view in X3c

Mr Blint
Anyone else have this problem... when a project is playing and I click on  a widget in the one of the bus channels sonar crashes. Since X3c I get a message from windows almost like a security message that sonar is trying to make a change to a hard drive - then it crashes. It has never been a big deal for me since I rarely use the console for making adjustments to the buses. This never happens with individual tracks in the console view and in fact I have never had any other crash or instability issue with X3. Basically I am loving it - but this is definitely annoying. I will report the problem - though I feel like I did that already (literally can't remember) but wonder if anyone has seen this or if there is something I am doing wrong. (running 64bit Win 7 with a roland ua 101 in ASIO mode - 16GB memory)

Hello Mr. Blint,

Question do you have the console view on another monitor in a multiple display setup? If so ... See if the issue occurs when Sonar is only on one Monitor.
2nd.. Just for fun.. Is the Concrete limiter on the master bus or one of the busses?  If so. try (as a test) removing it and seeing if this addresses the issue. (Only if using multiple monitors). Thanks.

Can't say I have heard of that. Poof it went into 50000 hand tooled pieces you say. Maybe a better recitation of the actual error message would help. Might want to browse the Windows event viewer for a clue. Maybe a multi-monitor issue as suggested by LunaTech, don't have two monitors to test with here.

yeah it is occuring on dual monitor setup and I dop have concrete limiter on the Master bus - as well as a drum bus. lo and behold - I don't see the error when I use a single monitor... So is that a known issue and is it being adressed?

Yes .. it is a known issue since X2a (when I first reported it).. It may help us if you report it also..the more the merrier. I am hoping for a fix soon. As a work around you can create/save a screenset that has everything on one screen, make changes there and then go back to the mutliple display screen set. A little inconvenient but better than crashing....IHTH
