Hi all I`m trying to take a 3 minute bass audio track to change it to midi,but each time i drag it in a midi track the midi data is longer in notes and in time.I do have different tempos in the project but not on this bass track.
Can anybody explain why this is happening please?

Well seems everybody is busy recording.Well thats the way it should be.
I did the right thing anyway cause what I wanted is to change a bass track recorded with an electric bass to a double bass and I got a man to play it for me the old way.

IDK, maybe Melodyne is confused about the tempo. Open the clip into Melodyne and check the tempo in the upper right-hand corner. You can adjust the tempo and export it as a MIDI clip from there, if necessary. Then import the MIDI into the project.
