Hi

I've looked everywhere for info, and Native instruments forums seem to have been taken offline. So back to the forums I love.
Are you a Komplete 9 Ultimate user? If so I have a question. Which plugins are exclusively 32 bit (in other words can it be 100% 64 bit with a full install).
Don't want any 32 bit plugins any more.

Cheers...

Alex

they ditched the plugins 32 bit wise a few versions back.. the last 1 I got.. v7 IRC

things like pro-53 and b4 etc.. (which is a pity).. and then they put b4 stuff as "vintage organs".. I'm sure others who got v8 onwards would confirm.

oh yer and they royally ****ed over kore 2 users by binning it with 4 weeks notice. I would probably buy it at 50% , mainly for kontakt.. I do have some Massive packs I might transfer to others

I'm a huge fan of Komplete. I've advised many Sonar users that if they have Sonar and Komplete, they really don't need anything else. A lot of that is because you're getting a ton of content, not just the instruments. They've also made some UI improvements to Kontakt so you can open it without having your brain explode, and deal with macros. Or, you can edit down to the last little parameter.

But to verify Fog's comments - yes, they're all 64-bit and yes, their departure from Kore was sudden, unexpected, and not welcome by Kore users although there was some additional driver development and freebies offered to existing users.

However, the good news is you can get Kore controllers really cheap because people haven't figured out they make nice, general purpose MIDI controllers. I wrote an article for Sound on Sound on how to use Kore 2 as an ACT controller with Sonar...it does the job very well.

Thanks Craig/Fog, darn looks like I'm gonna have to buy a copy, and the only way to make it worth my whilst is to crossgrade it with a new maschine mk2 I guess. Sigh :)

Yep. I have a Kore that I use as an act controller along with Komplete Ultimate 9. All 64bit. Have an original Maschine also but haven't used it much yet.
I have to agree with Craig, it's all very usable. Even the fx processors are pretty good emulations of the originals. There's so much stuff between the various instruments, fx and the content.
I reckon I need another lifetime or two just to audition everything.

Hi all,

I've got Komplete Ultimate v8 and v9 and did not either see any 32-bit plugins. I could triple check tonight.
Also didn't like when they removed B4 and P53, otherwise it's a really useful collection. I liked what they did on version 8 where you tended to get new stuff that was released after you got it. I don't get the same feeling with version 9, for what it's worth.

But hey, version 8 would have been enough for a lifetime anyway!

Best Regards
Ludvig
