Hello I used to be able to do this with X2, I think I've simply forgetten in X3C.

I have a A-300 Pro, all configured nicely in X3C. If I move a fader up it goes up, and if I move a fader down it goes down in the Act UI, and it plays fine. So all configured correctly it seems.

For the life of me I cannot get sounds to change in soft synths using a knob on the controller (I used to be able to do this). So for example if I bring up Dimension Pro (or some other VST) in X3, I want to toggle up and down the programme browser (in Dimension Pro) by using a knob on the A-PRO keyboard to get different sounds.

Whatever I do it ain't working, could anybody provide me the steps to do this? Documentation is phasing me, maybe time for another tea.

Thankyou!

Well, if you're talking about Program Change messages, then simply press the left arrow button on the A-Pro until the display shows "PGM CHANGE," then turn the VALUE knob beside the display. But this only works on soft synths that are designed to change presets by receiving program change messages, such as TTS-1 and Z3TA. So, it shouldn't work with Dim Pro, Studio Instruments, etc. If you were actually able to change presets of these synths in X2 from your A-Pro, I have no idea how you did it.

This is of side topic. BTW when I am on Zeta2 once you click a program with your mouse, you can use the QWERTY keyboard up and down keys to scroll programs.

Thanks for clarifying Jlien. So this was odd, today it's working, the only thing I did was update the USB driver for my Yamaha keyboard so maybe the old one was getting in the way (BTW I was also trying it with Z3TA).

NB on latest A-Pro firmware and drivers (recommend these updates).

All good anyway - thanks!
