Mark.
Good GTR work-out you have  here. The drums have appropriate bollocks. My only crit is that the lead(s) seems a bit loud. But that may be a matter of personal taste.

Hot stuff,

Bert

Hey Bert.  Thanks for the listen.  I agree about the lead being too loud.  I just uploaded a new version with that (I hope) corrected.

Excellent playing! I like the panning effect with the delay. Cool tune!

Really great guitar leads, love the harmonies, and all of your guitar tones are clear, and meaty! Sounds really good!

I'd take a look at your drums, I think they are coming in a little early on the beat, particularly in the first minute or so? Could be my morning coffee playing tricks on my ears . . .

Your bass tone is definitely a throwback, which is quite nice! I thought I noticed just a couple of bass timing issues. However you may not want this thing "locked to a grid" and I get that. I'm going to have some more coffee and get back to you on that :)

thanks for the share, really great job!

cheers,

Stunning musicianship and composition as always Mark.

I must agree with Clint, the delay/reverb really works well with the arrangement.

Thanks Clint. That's my go to delay setup.  Sonitus fx delay set to same bpm as project. Left channel delay factor of 1.  Right channel delay factor of 1/2.  Both channels: feedback 22, crossfeed 12, mix 20.  I vary these numbers depending on the song.  Really gives guitar depth and smooths out small flubs.

Thanks Tom.  All the lead was triple tracked, in other words I play my main lead and pan center, then play it again for each channel and pan right and left respectively.  The panned versions are pulled way back in volume, but just enough so I get some comb filtering/phasiness.  In case of the harmony guitars, main lead panned left and right and each side tracked again and pulled back in volume.  Gives a much fuller sound to the guitar.  I can pull this off when my leads are thought out note for note like this song.  Not so when I'm just improvising.  I've tried just copying the lead track but actually playing it multiple times just works better IMO.

Can't beat a Fender P-bass for the basics.  Timing may be a bit off.  I changed it at the last minute and just played it all the way through one take.

The drums are loops so not alot I can do about editing their timing.
