  • How do I stop Cakewalk editions of TH2/TH3 getting installed by default?

How can I easily prevent the installation of the Cakewalk editions of Overloud TH2/TH3 when installing or upgrading Sonar every month? I already have the full versions and so do not want these versions at all, however they keep installing and I keep selecting them accidentally in projects!

Unfortunately I am not seeing these as separate installs in the Command Center, because I could just like to hide them in there.

Thanks for your help in advance.

That's weird. I have had the full version of TH2 for a long time. I update every month with the command center. My full version of TH2 is the only one installed. Never even seen the others.
Sorry this is not an answer per say but that seems weird. I mean is it activated and registered correctly, etc?  i Mean the full version. I also have the full version of Breverb - which is also overloud. My full version is the only one installed also.
I would ask overloud to be honest.

It is better to keep TH2 Producer even if you have a full one just to have an access to (some incredible) Craig Anderton fx chains.

Thanks for the tip, but all I want to do is uninstall it and forgot about it. I also have the full version of Breverb and I don't want the Cakewalk edition of Breverb installed anymore.

BTW, I also had both Axe FX2 and TH2 and realised Fractal may go. How would you compare amp/cab sims Axe vs TH2? In fact Axe Fx2 is a plugin too, just with a dedicated hardware :-)

I don't want to appear rude, I know I have only just joined these forums, but I would really appreciate that we could stick to my topic so I might get an answer, thankyou x

Well, I guess you can say that I mean HW plug in, but not really....-when I did a blind test with a group of friends using the axefx model Mesa IIC+ using a frfr and my bodies real one. No one could tell the difference. So, whatever one believes that works for me--- cannot compare them at all - there is NO comparison. What do you mean Fractal may go? You mean yours may go? AS in sell yours? Ok-everyone has to use what they like and works for them. They are tools. That's all-So it's all good.
Just my personal experience -the Mesa's, Trainwreck, Dumbles and Fenders sold me. Shiva's are great also- nots of metal players like the Axefx-No metal for me-but a few time folks (musicians in audience) heard me play and then asked what amp I was using. when I told them it was the axefx they said they thought that was just for Metal. I hear that quite often. But if you go to the forum you'd see that is not true-but metal is very big on the forum.
I am classic rock, Blues R&B----regular old guy stuff :-)

I think it's great to be a guitar player in this day and age-so many different tools- There is wrong tool if it works for you-I believe. BTW, I mostly just record in a bedroom studio-the axefx is perfect for that- Hey I always liked my Boss GX700 when I used it to play out for most of the 90's (thru a musicman combo) Still have the GX700 actually
