Trying to hook up a yamaha PSR keyboard to sonar. got the .ins file and all is well.  Except, when I select a patch from the track view, I hear it AND whatever patch is currently loaded.  Not during playback, of course, just while recording.  Input echo doesn't have any effect.  If I dial up the patch I'm using, then it's all flange-y because it's triggering the sample twice.
 
I've had this trouble before and input echo never seems to fix it like I imagine it should.

If I am understanding correctly, sounds like you need to set your keyboard to 'Local Off', which will disable the connection between the keys of the keyboard and the internal sounds, leaving only then what is in Sonar.
 
Look for this in the 'Functions' of the keyboard.
