This is my new favorite thing and I hope it continues. A jazz guitarist, Publio Delgado, writes and performs insane jazz guitar accompaniment to dumb YouTube videos and it's amazing. Some incredible jaaaazzzz skills on display here.

Sorry James.

This is a joke isn't it, and I've obviously missed the set-up from another fred or something?

To me it just showed that you can take absolutely any stream of random pitches and rhythms and, with the right chords, it's jazz.

Oh yeah?!
And all aspirin is alike
Play and record some jazz and post it. A demonstration!

I don't need to. The proof is in those videos. With the right jaaaaazz chords, you can harmonize literally anything and make it musical.

I think he has used a "harmonizer" or pitch changer like melodyne on the original audio, changing the pitch of the words spoken - and then written jazz chords to that. Pretty creative methinks.

What a wonderful attempt to bring jazz to the masses. Probably he's going to kill off hip hop.

that was a great post, thanks!
