Finding a place to live is a bear! I'm hoping to get out of Louisiana but I can't find a place that's much better than I'm in now. Shreveport seems to be the best option at this point. I'll be so glad to get my Sonar recording again but that's out of the question till I can get settled into a new place.  I have 3 unrecorded songs. 

Keep looking Bill!  No sense in putting yourself in the same bad position and wasting more of your life dealing with it.
 
There's a perfect place for you out there, you just have to keep searching to find it!

Florida is good place to live......cost of living is better than most places in the US. Also, the weather ain't too bad throughout the year.

It is very possible that you can luck out and find a place that will meet all your true needs ....

Trying to move here as well. Moving from Maryland to Alabama where I have a job waiting for me. Had the house sold once, then the buyer backed out at the last minute. Was able to sell the house a second time, with closing middle of next month. Of course, when I had the contract on the new house in Alabama the first time my interest rate was 3.375%. Now it is at 4.125% So that first buyer will cost me about $36,000 over the life of the loan! Not a happy camper.
 
Like you, most everything is in boxes. Can't record - only instrument I can get to is my dulcimer. And with my luck it will probably snow the day we are supposed to move.

Wow spacey have you ever told me that? We'll have to get together when I move if it's in Shreveport. Barksdale AFB is where I'm trying to get close to. I'm from Shreveport.
 
Thanks for the encouragement guys! I am going to be choosy though. If it doesn't have what I'm looking for I move on! 3 houses and 1 townhome today. One is nice in Bossier City close to the base

I drive thru Shreveport once or twice a year.  Some parts are definitely better than others.
