I am using Sonar X2 and have not had this problem before.  Today, for some reason, I turn on the PC and all is well.  I start Sonar and all is well.  I create a new project and then I start getting pops out of the right channel only.  I did recently upgrade from Guitar 4 to 5, but nothing is loaded in the new project and still I get the pops.  I confirmed the monitor connections and audio files play fine through MediaPlayer. I am using an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card and running Win7 64bit. Any ideas?  Much thanks in advance

Although this is a X3C issue rather than X2 please try disabling 64 bit precision engine.

Otherwise please update your sound drivers and firmware if available:

Also try renaming your AUD.INI and restarting Sonar. Other things to try but try this first (then run Windows Update).

Alex, thanks for the quick reply.  If you don't hear back from me, then it worked.   :-)

Thanks... We always would like to know what the fix was so others may benefit later. Good luck.

Any ideas?

Inadvertent parallel path to Main Out or Main Out levels out of balance causing clipping on one channel after the Master bus?
