Just 2 questions.
Will Sonar X1 LE run on WIN8 ? (Just bought one in bundle with OCTACAPTURE)
I have some hardware issues with my WinXP machine and might switch to new Laptop with Win8.
Will this software run on win8.
Has someone any experience with?
 
Also I would like to buy this Laptop only to use as a Recording device together with  my Octacapture and not much for Editing.
Does anyone have any idea what laptop spec would be good for such task.

Not certain of specs for laptop but I have seen X1 LE run on Windows 8. You can search cakewalk.com for official support.  One page said 'As of the writing of this article, the only software products officially supported by Cakewalk on Windows 8 are SONAR X2a and the CA-2A Leveling Amplifier.' Article is older from 6/28/2012.
