Hey, guys!
I am testing the DropZone soft synth (Cakewalk), and I can not load any Presets. I can load Samples. But where it says, "Default", if you click, it opens programs browser. I can see programs there but when attempt to load, it says, "Error Uncompressing Program Data- program load failed". Any thoughts on how to fix it would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have not used DropZone in a while, and just popped it open to play with it, and it is working fine. It may be a bad install, but can only speculate.

I just noticed something... the programs are also in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\DropZone\Programs There is an index "programs.lst" in that folder. You may be seeing the index file, but do not actually have the programs (should be 7 subfolders with prog files in them). If they are there, are the program files per chance "read only"?

Edit... let me take that back... I didn't get far enough down the programs list!! I just found a chunk of them that are doing exactly what you put in the OP now. I just verified all of the above, so DropZone is having an issue reading some of the r2x files. It is also a 32-bit plug-in, and I am running 64....

Have not run into this problem but have not used many presets since X3. Any oarticular preset names you could share?

I should have posted that, sorry. The "05 - Grooves" folder has 5 subfolders to it... and it seems they all throw the error mentioned in the OP.

I just did another check on this, and think that folder set may have been added with RXP (32-bit).

The folders also show up under that plug-in and play fine. It is possible that they came with RXP, but DropZone happens to be seeing them.

I have the same sub-folders  and literally went through every preset.  They all seem to load and play fine on my e.nd. Do you have your samples for dropzone located in a custom location?  Perhaps the proper permissions are not there to read and extract files

I have not used DropZone much at all, so everything is where it installed itself. I am not sure if those folders were part of a "content club" thing or not now though. I get the exact error message the OP mentioned which is annoying since it pops up BEHIND the DZ window. Nutty.

DZ won't open them, but they open and play in RXP fine for me, so the files are not "bad." The DZ version I have is 1.0 though, is that the correct version?

rx2 files need a shared Rex library so it's likely you're seeing a 32/64 bit clash
