I was doing a search in the Sonar X3 Reference Guide, and ran across a diagram of the Signal Flow on page 888.

I thought it was illustrative, and helpful to see so I thought for all the friends here I'd point out that it exists:

If it is in the pdf, it is in the local help on your pc and on the website http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation/default.aspx?Doc=SONAR%20X3&Lang=EN&Req=Mixing.07.html

That's the one.  I think it's a useful diagram just to confirm what one thinks is happening in the flow.

The help file and ref' guide are under utilised and under appreciated.

I like Scott G's Power books as a teaching tool but there's nothing wrong with the docs included with Sonar.

the diagram could use a bit of fleshing out in the input area

I agree, particularly concerning the Reference Guide.

I try to read the reference guide cover to cover.  I have learnt one thing after years in research, though.  It is often worth looking through the contents in a book before the index.  Sometimes, when looking for a particular item in an index, you can miss the entry you need because you don't know the exact terminology.  A search through the contents can give a much broader view.

Thanks, Mike! I've actually mentioned this signal flow diagram in the SONAR Power! books for many editions. It's very useful and it's conveniently located in the SONAR help.
