Rik....I was just thinking of a second guitar by year-end but not very sure how to go about choosing. The present one is around 4 years old - working fine - but may be I want something that's more suitable for rhythm than for lead. Any suggestions?

Hi Kane, there's no such thing as a rhythm or a lead guitar imho, it's just what you play that matters. My advice would be to go to a musicstore and play a lot of guitars and find one that "speaks"to you, there's always one.

I'm just gonna echo what SteveC said. I guess I'm not sure what I am supposed to listen for. There is a link at the top and bottom of your post. The top one was really strange and I didn't listen long. Rik, am I missing something?
