Pretty sure I'm missing something here - namely my Pro Channel!?
I have bitten the bullet and upgraded to X3 - but I've opened a project and there's no Pro Channel?!
Did I not install everything?
I selected a custom install and chose not to install things I already had - but there was no option to not install the Pro Channel.
Very confused.
Where have I gone wrong?
I was expecting 3 files to unpack when I first hit install - But I only saw it unpack 2 install files.
Is that where it went wrong??
I checked my download with MD5 Hash programme and all was ok.

there should be 4 parts (5 really but one is a read me file)

I've been so careful to get everything right in this upgrade - I've been reading every thread on safely installing. I've gone through 8 months of 'X2 HELL' only to finally upgrade and the Pro Channel isn't even included in the basic X3 version?!?!?! I've gone UP in the order of things but there's no Pro Channel?!?! I'm absolutely raving - I have been so careful.
 
Can someone please tell me what my options are now. I need to upgrade to Studio in order to have the Pro Channel.
 
Can I:
a) Get my money back from this purchase? I haven't registered it yet.
b) get a discounted purchase of Sonar X3 Studio since I now own Sonar X3? Or do I have to pay the full upgrade price as if upgrading from X2?
C) Do I need to completely uninstall Sonar X3?

You should call Cakewalk support, I'm pretty sure they will let you upgrade for the difference!

You need to write sales and see what they can do for you. You need to get X3 Studio or X3 Producer to also have Pro Channel. Don't do anything with your version until you do.

John, I have installed it. Does this mean it's 'too late' or do you mean for me not to register it...cuz I haven't done that yet. I've written a note to support to plead for mercy. I feel pretty stupid right now.

All sorted with support/sales.

CW is one of the best companies for sorting out these things. It has been my experience that they will set it right.
 
Judging by your last post all is well and no I don't think anything of the sort and you shouldn't feel that way. What you did was show courage in posting here and asking for help.  Very wise.
