My "His problem was the opposite" post was a reply to barlowjam's post #6. [The OP needed to DISABLE the setting barlowjam suggested, not ENABLE it.] You and I just cross-posted. I agree with you 100%.

For libraries like GPO, where the internal Volume control (which is automated by CC#7) is used more like a set-and-forget level control, it's better to disable the CC#7 parameter altogether -- BASED ON THE WAY SONAR SENDS UNWANTED CC#7 DATA. If SONAR would just leave CC#7 alone (unless I put some CC#7 data or an envelope in the track or manually move the fader), then this would be unnecessary.

oooops..my bad, I got here pretty tired tonight! Good points there..as always.

I can appreciate that. I was up till 5am the other night running backups on my 200GBs of system, projects & samples drives.

I know this is an ancient thread, but if I found it, chances are other people with the same problem will, too. Just wanted to mention (this was the case for me) that it's also worth right-clicking on the volume slider on the instrument in question in Kontakt to see if there's some automation happening on the volume that you've forgotten about.
