  • Does X3 still have these bugs introduced in X2? (p.2)

I don't use the Playlist myself, but I found this in the X3b fixed list:
  • Dragging projects in the Playlist will now scroll when the files are being dragged past the border of the Playlist window
  • Playlist columns now persist when closing, saving and reopening (CWBRN-13970)

And from X3c:
  • Text notes would not persist in the Playlist View

FWIW, I haven't seen the disappearing Now Time in X3 either.

Interesting.  I had forgotten about the columns thing.   Good to hear they're paying attention to it.

Yeah, it's probably worth giving the X3 demo a shot when available.   Who knows what other improvements might make it in.

I'm the one who reported (CWBRN-13970) and was happy to see it fixed. (Got the email today) However in the process they've broken the playlist if you use the "pin on top" button. If that is selected, and your next song has a :"wait for keypress" delay on it, it most times won't play the next song instantly. It will jump around and get confused and wait for you to hit the spacebar AGAIN to get it to play. A real show stopper in a live situation. Also if the "pin on top" is not selected, it will work as expected, BUT . . . The now time scroller line will be invisible while the song is playing. So yes the "disappearing NOW time" still exists.
I submitted  bug report CWBRN-20634 prior to X3c's release but it didn't make it. I sure hope it makes it into X3d. It's unusable for me the way it is.

I haven't seen #3 at all.  It happened all the time in X2 here but hitting any of the screen set numbers would bring it back.

Or a slightly better question:

Does X3 still have any old bugs carried forward from earlier versions?

Not better just different.  Mine was specific.

+1 Dean and you were the OP.  One could argue the second question on a separate thread along with religion, death and taxes.

Ouch!  I wasn't trying to hijack the thread.  I just thought that the three bugs mentioned didn't really have a common theme anyway, so I was suggesting that the OP might wish to broaden the scope of the question.  Most of the complaints in this forum about bugs in X2 ceased after X3 was released, apparently implying that they were no longer a problem.  But I have not seen many conformations about specific bugs being fixed.

Maybe we should maintain our own list of bugs'n'fixes.

One of the challenges with that is there seems to be a very blurry line between what is regarded as a bug and things we simply don't like.

The other blurry line will be when users leave comments which aren't relevant to the thread.

It would require someone to maintain an offline spreadsheet which gets an image posted every so often.

Who's got the time to do that???
