Is Ozone 5 a CPU hog even if you only have one module open?

By any measure Ozone 5 is a CPU hog.  It is also the very best single mastering plugin there is.

But the advanced version comes with individual plugs (eq, limiter, etc) instead of just the big one.

The advanced version also cost $1,000.00. I just got the version that cost 250.00 and have everything in one plug. They are all the same plugs

Thanks guys.  I am familiar with templates and all of the possible solutions mentioned above.  Thanks for those.

I was just hoping we could change default EQs.  Sounds like we can't.  Oh well, I guess I will update to X3 tonight.

I have the standard version of Ozone, not the fancy one where you can load individual components.  My PC is pretty powerfull and this project in particular is 48 tracks.... of those 48, 22 of them have ozone running on them.  Again, this is because I was unahppy with the standard ProChannel EQ.  With all of that said, I am not having dropouts.  Oh, there are 3 instances of Omnishpere on that track as well.

Thanks again

Be aware that in X3c the 64 Double Precision Engine should be unchecked. There is a bug in the spectrum analyzer that causes it to spike and then flat-line that has been reported and should be fixed with the next patch. Unchecking the 64-bit DPE "solves" this, for now.

As with Joe here; I too use Ozone 5 (the standard version) on multiple tracks with no known issues.

I do like the EQ that is included with Ozone 5. Although I don't normally run very high numbers of tracks (50 or more) nor do I use Ozone on all tracks.
