I believe I have a corrupted cwp file. Other projects open okay, but this one I was working on last night won't open without crashing Sonar. I didn't have autosave turned on, so it's the only copy in existence. Tried upgrade to revision "c", but it didn't help. I tried opening in safe mode by holding the shift button and clicking "No to All", but it didn't help, either. Any ideas on how I can restore this file? Thank you for your help.

There were numerous reports similar to yours recently.

I had the same problem twice lately on X3b and X3c. I have send the project to tech support. Still waiting for their reply ...

Pls do the same. I know a lot of posts will follow telling you to perform all sorts of windows updates, but I honestly believe that save/restore has some nasty bugs hidden somewhere. The more problem reports and actual crashing projects Cakewalk receives to debug these issues, the better X3d should be ... hopefully ...

I wonder if you are having issue with C++ redistributable code, such as some other were/are having.

Some folks had to reload Sonar X3 after getting all Windows maintenance up to date.

Just a thought,

Not the answer to your question but please check the Windows event viewer for a possible cause of your crashes.
The wav files are in the project folder somewhere I hope...
