  • X2a project not playing correctly in X3c

Greetings All,
I just loaded an X2a (x64) project in X3c (x64) last night and had one particular issue -

Two of the tracks were barely audible in the mix.

These two tracks are of a double-tracked electric dulcimer, panned opposite each other.

I removed all plugins and disabled the ProChannel, but still no levels to the Master Bus.

Both tracks play perfectly in X2a - plugins and all.

I re-enabled the PC and plugins and noticed that the signal was not reaching the first plugin...
Weird... Like the signal gets attenuated, but the gain pots are right where they were in X2a.

I had issues with the 64-bit processing during mixdown/export audio in another project, so that
has been turned off until Cakewalk gets it fixed.

I can see issues between X2 and X3 mixes due to plugin/VST2/VST3 possibly occurring, but
X3 should still play back the wave files correctly...

Has anyone seen this with X3c, and if so, any idea what is causing it?

Thanks for any ideas or work-arounds.

Cheers,
MG

Try cutting and pasting into a new project.

Ha!
Ironic that I already did that in X2a with this project to consolidate audio and work with a "clean" project for mix-down.

Too many tracks on this one - and too little time - I'm going back to X2a for this project.

Thanks,
MG
