And you're both using Console Emulation on mono tracks ?

I can only speak for myself, but I use console emulation on all inputs.... I don't often use the console emulator bus, but I've had no problems there either....

I use varying combinations of mono/stereo tracks constantly...

I believe the issue is with mono interleaved tracks.  Sorry for having left that out.

If you have no problems with that, you're likely blessed.

Yikes!

I found at least one song with a mono interleave and...

It's running fine....?

I have yet to come across this myself, Keni - mono audio tracks with CE turned on, even mono synth tracks with CE, mono and stereo busses with CE, etc.   None of it seems to matter - no buzz.     Good thing I have beer handy when needed.

Processing the audio at 64 bit increases the degree of round off accuracy... Very subtle, but we know hi wall these subtleties combine to give our sounds... Envelopes are a little smoother at the tails and such... It is well worth using it if you can...

I'm sorry so many people are currently having trouble with this as I know how I feel in similar circumstances... I'm glad Cake already knows about it and have probably fixed it already.... Now awaiting their release of X3d (or maybe a quick fix earlier?)...

Since Cakewalk has confirmed the problem, maybe they'd be interested in hearing from people who don't experience it
(I guess they just did...).  Glad you guys are fine.

No complaining, just an observation from my personal experience, but I find it interesting that I'm experiencing the buzz on a *brand new* StudioCat DAW (Win7/Intel i7 4770 @ 3.9GHz/16GB RAM) with a fresh install of X3. I use a Profire 600 interface. Since the first time I loaded a project, I not only get the buzz when the 64-bit engine is checked, but also when the the multiprocessing engine is checked. Has anyone mentioned the multiprocessing engine as a culprit too? I've been trying to keep track of the issue, but may have missed someone mentioning that. But with the boxes unchecked, it purrs like a kitten. I upgraded from 8 Producer and I'm really diggin' X3. Learning about gain staging has changed my life.

It's just so curious to me that some fortunate folks don't have the buzz issue, and makes me wonder what the common denominator might be, if there is one. <sigh>
