I'm not a fan

Nor me, never have been.

I'll add Jimmy Page, horrible tones, beyond sloppy live.

(I'm dead...)

My favorite! Especially for his tones and the way he combines them. There's no denying the sloppiness though.

Clapton - indifferent is the word I suppose. I really like some material, most of it I don't care for.

Santana I can't stand. He gives me toothaches (a bit like Kirk Hammett does at times). It's like somebody scraping their fingers on a chalkboard - the tone, the notes, the bending, the vibrato - everything!

Keith Richards - well, same as the Stones, really. I do appreciate that they have their place in history and there is a bunch of songs I really, really like, true gems, but considering their entire catalog, you could say that those songs are exceptions. I just don't get the Stones (nor The Who, by the way).

and   ..  Hendrix would be about that age now...  most people I know that were born after his death could give him a flip.

Where's Pedro when we need him?

He's bobbing up and down in a dinghy trying to catch up with the prog-rock cruise ship, to tell them all they're not as good as Amon Duul 2.

That ship has sunk a long time ago, specially now that Edgar Froese has left us and the Tangerine Dream folks ripped us off for some autobiography that does not exist!

AD2 had some great things, but musically, it is really difficult to say that one thing is better than the other, since they are all great and up there. It's just a shame that folks can only make fun of something they have not heard twice, to be able to make a nice judgement on the pieces. AD2's first 5 albums, still rival anybody's in total quality and stupendous material and awesome work all around. And as their guitarist John Weinzierl says in an interview, "we were not into the rock scene, we mostly used classical ideas and concepts for our music" ... and that was quite loud and clear on the long cuts.

As far as over rated, I really can not say that anyone is. They all do different things and do so well, and deserve the credit for it. So, anyone telling me that the guitarist (or two) in the CHB is over rated, I will gladly state ... nothing!

Over rated, is a state of mind. And it lacks feeling!
