  • I'd like to be able to Auto Pause and unpause Gobbler

I work in large projects. My current project is 26 GB or so and growing. They're big because I mix the whole show in one project.

So every time I start the project, I have to pause Gobbler. Then I have to remember to un-pause Gobbler before I shut it down.

It's just another thing to remember to do. If I don't it's constantly considering uploading tons of data, unsure of whether it's changed.

Just a thought.

Even less of a fan now than I was... Get a server :).

Create a little batch file to do this and run that instead of the SONAR shortcut?

Nice suggestion KPerry. Clicking the Sonar shortcut is as easy as clicking the batch file, so I'm not sure that's an improvement.

I guess I was suggesting that the Pause feature could be persisted through project restarts rather than being reset each time you open the project.

I can see how lots of people with small projects wouldn't need to pause Gobbler.

And Alex, I've been becoming MORE of a fan of Gobbler, not less. I've been sharing my huge projects with my old friends. I actually purchased a paid subscription. Now, I'm using Gobbler to confidentially share 24 bit Wavs. Previously, I was posting them on Microsoft Cloud Blob Storage. That works, but it isn't private per se. This way, I can keep them from forwarding the links to the rest of the world.

When using M$ Cloud BLOB Storage, I send links that work for anyone on the internet, an early draft of a mix could end up being the one everyone listens to.

Gobbler is a better solution.
