I have a separate drive for samples and separate drive for Audio files. Some of my audio files were dropping the audio engine-first time ever. Same files, etc. I heard a clicking and tracked it down to the Audio HD-bummer. I removed it and decided to work on some midi projects. Well, now Dim Pro cannot find the multisamples???? Same directory in the registry as it has been many years. Other softsynths have no issues.only dim pro?

My specs are below.
Thanks

So did you check the registry to see what file path it is set right now?

Of Course I checked the registry. I did mention that in my post. Thanks but I believe I'll check a bit more for a solution before reinstalling
.

Never experienced a DimPro failure where the files actually existed but could not be found.  Does the stand alone version work? Could the permissions have been changed on the folder making the files unreachable?

Make sure you are looking in the correct registry entry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\dp key "Multisamples Folder"

The last resort would be the clean reinstall suggested in post #2

Thanks Scook -  Does seem weird especially since the audio drive died and this happened. Nothing Dim was on the audio drive. I have had the dp samples on the same HD (alone) for a long time now. Definitely the right key. I'll look around some more. For now

OK-This is weird. The preset menu in Dim Pro has maybe 30 bass's in it. If I select one of them all is well and samples are found and bass plays. But if I browse thru the folder tree nothing is found no matter what I select???
Not looking good

The 30 bass presets sound like the 3rd expansion pack.
