I would review the updated TOS you just agreed to.

Sorry Seth,

another side issue....... hijacking in true pirate fashion....arrrrr.......

What was that in aid of  ?

The updated TOS was so that we're more in line with our competitors forums and that we can help facilitate a better atmosphere.

Did we not broach on this  same subect with OBI from IK recently?

You guys have alwlays had way more thicker skin concerning negatives and trolls  on your products  that I would, had it been my playground.

I guess as a certain ex POTUS once asked what is is, what is constructive critisism versus pap.

Having said that , I think the mods will be fair and balanced.

So is there any reason to keep Melodyne single track 2.1.1? When I upgrade I'll get it again right?  Shouldn't I put it up for sale on KVR now?

If I understand correctly, X3 will come with Melodyne Single Track Essential.  If that's what you have now, selling it might be an option for you.  However, you may be shooing yourself in the foot on a possible future cross grade deal.  Also, I'm betting that the included version of Essential will be integrated into X3 and you won't be able to use it in another DAW like you can now.

I have Editor 2.1.1 and it should work just fine, (actually better), in X3.  ...or at least I hope so.  Looping in Melodyne would be great.

Paul

AFAIK the version included works in other hosts and is the full version. I don't have others on my system to test though. It works standalone FWIW.

You might want to reconsider censoring demented ranting in your forum. If you do, the demented ranting will relocate to KVR and Gearslutz, where it may have a bigger and broader audience.

Thanks

The timing just seemed odd seeing as how it said the amendments were made some time ago.

FWIW I rarely venture to other forums, but when I do I'm always struck by how different they are to this one and not in good way. I'll be glad when you guys finally spill the beans so I don't have to go to them looking for info. Sad I know, but this is potentially a big upgrade for me as it would involve an OS change too. Liking the idea of Melodyne, but the colour customisation (lack of) in X series has always been the dealbreaker for me.

They're too fair. I'd nuke this joint from orbit if it were up to me.

The "new" TOS was pretty much identical to the old TOS as far as I could tell. Probably just a couple language changes for clarity. I see an enormous pile of those rules being broken daily and nothing happens so it really shouldn't be freaking people out. Not sure why we've drifted to this subject.

Because I asked Seth a question while he was here, which he answered.  ;)

I think the new TOS is extremely well written, in particular the section covering Flaming, Bashing, and Trolling.

Stating clearly that constructive and polite criticism is permitted (and quite rightly - actively encouraged), but that mindless bad-mouthing is not, is a good move in my opinion.

Time will tell, however, how much vitriol will be overlooked before any action is taken.

Totally agree with this. Problem is, nearly every rule has been broken even since the new TOS so maybe a mod or two should be appointed from the more respected members of the forum. At least that way it could be seen as an independent implementation of the rules. An intelligent implementation hopefully, not a black and white one.

If you watch every meolodyne  and addictive drums tutorial, you may be able to distract yourself up until the official press release

That sounds like good advice, dub!
