SO EU customers get ripped off again :(
The upgrade is 150 Euros ($50 more expensive than US!).
And it forces me to use their EU Store rather than the US, only will take Euros not Great Britain Pounds.

Here is the reason why....

And it is still $50 more expensive if you are European, and the biggest joke of all is that Celemony is based in Germany. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4uDSnYQx3Q  (BTW I love Germany in case anybody asks).

The $49 offer is is only if you already own Melodyne Editor v1.
V2.x Essential is what comes with Sonar X3.

From Melodyne web page:
Your update from Melodyne editor 1 to Melodyne editor 2
also
This offer lasts until January 31, 2014
(if you are seeing something else blow out your browser cache - they updated the page)

So really Melodyne is offering you a $100 credit toward upgrading to Melodyne Editor v2.x if you own M.E. v1 and got Sonar X3.
(based on Andrew Rossa's post:
The upgrade from Melodyne Essential to Melodyne Editor is $149 for SONAR X3 customers. It's still going on.)

There is a lot of confusion here!!!

There are TWO offers!!!

OFFER 1. Here is the offer to upgrade from editor version (people who have previously bought Melodyne editor away from Cakewalk) expires Jan:
http://www.celemony.com/c...=sonar&L=1%3FL%3D1

OFFER 2. Here is the offer to upgrade from essentials version (with Sonar X3) to editor version  soon to expire (you must log in) for $149:
https://www.celemony.com/...oCart&s=c1cb696330

Or if you are European and you try to buy it it's $200 (with the second offer!)

Cheers!

Jörg Hüttner from Celemony:
Purchases in US $ are solely possible outside of Europe since the US $ prices are without 19% VAT while the Euro-prices include 19% VAT due to EU-law. For a purchase in US $ an address outside of Europe together with a credit card also registered to an address outside of Europe is necessary.

Even taking that into account it's still $20 more expensive for Europeans... (b*tch , b*tch, moan, moan) :).

Hey Alex

In Europe is the VAT 21%. That said the $20 dollars you talk about is for the first $100 . The other $50 is another $10 dollars. You could also use a calculator to easily see what 21% of $149 dollars is. :-))

I don't think it is Alex who needs the calculator.

In U.K. V.A.T. is 20%.  20% of $149 is $29.8.  $149 + $29.8 = $178.8.

Alex says in U.K. we pay $200 (I've not checked this), and is asking why we are paying the extra $20?  $200 - $178.8 = $21.2.

Point taken. Misread the OP's intention. I donot come from the UK and here the vat is 21%. I guess the only thing I can say is Sorry for the misinterpretation , but he's still 1% cheaper in the UK.

I can't say the difference between USA and UK prices bother me that much.  I still think the upgrade price was a steal.
