i hear ya, john.  i used to do that a lot until i started using sonar live, and it's just easier to switch my channel up or down than it is to swing over to my laptop and change which track i'm targeting.

John, Arvid, Michael, DeClan,

Thanks for all of your input on this. I'll be testing a number of things tomorrow after the leaves get blown !  I was able to find the 'popout' which does show the 'Channel A-right,Channel A Left, Channel A-Stereo - I was using the input/output on the pro-channel strip but located the proper place and the popout in track view - perhaps that was my thickness.

Any way, I will post an update - once I get this sorted out I'll let everyone know.

 Thanks and Best Regards,

 Bill -

Another option - I use guitar to midi to drive Omni most of the time & changing midi channels is a hassle so I have the 8 midi inputs all set up to receive on channel 1, but the channels (under the FX bin in the channel strip) are set to 1 - 8. I use the mixer in Omni to set up layers and channel mappings and then select the track I want to hear/record.

The song passage at https://sites.google.com/site/phoenixtaiji/music has a fair amount of Omnishpere in it ...
