Anyone else having a problem installing a MidiSport 4x4 Anniv. Ed. MIDI I/F in Sonar X3?
For some reason, Sonar X3 refuses to "see" it, forcing me to keep using my older (but still quite functional) MidiSport 2x4.

SOLVED: CHANGED MY MIDI INTERFACE!

Your drivers are up to date? Latest driver came out in October.

Yes, I downloaded and installed the latest driver yesterday, reconnected the 4x4 and booted Sonar, only to be notified that there were no MIDI devices attached...
 

Assume you rebooted. All I can say is try renaming your AUD.INI (so it resets) and see if that works (You can always put it back).... people here may have better answers though I'm not overly familiar with your interface.

I've got one and it works fine, but I seem to recall you have to do the install twice.
If that doesn't work do the install where you let Windows locate the driver rather than telling it where the official one is.

The driver was in an .EXE file.
I'll try reinstalling twice.
I'll try anything to get it to work, as my workspace is very limited and the 4x4's connections are all on the back, whereas the 2x4's are on both the front and back, not to mention there are 4 OUTS instead of just 2.

I have one, but am not on X3 yet (will be doing a rebuild of my DAW tonight though to get it). I recall having issues with X2 a while back with the same behavior. I also have a regular 4x4 (they use different drivers according to m-audio) and had issues with that. I recall that the aud.ini renaming might have fixed it.

As I mentioned, I'm going to start my full DAW rebuild tonight (from Win7/Producer X2 to Win8.1/Producer X3). I'll let you know if I have any issues with the midisport.
