Waveform preview only works intermittently when using zoom functions. No analyser in the EQ. Analyser seems to be random, but once gone it stays that way in saved projects.

The analyzer will flat line shortly after being opened if the 64-bit Double Precision Engine is checked. Not seen the waveform do that before though.

Just turned off 64-bit Double Precision and the EQ analyser is back, thank you! Still having issue with waveform preview though.

I am concerned as John mentioned about the computer load in your video. With excessive load situations like this can be the graphics card not keeping pace (similar to lost frames in a video). If the "frame" to draw that wave form is dropped, the GPU cannot "refresh" it, since it is "not there" as far as it is concerned. I am speculating that X3 does not redraw those unless resized (to save CPU load) as well.
 
The only thing I can recommend is trying the "Tailoring DAW buffers" section from this post and see if that helps. Trying to get your system load reduced would help best (if possible).
