For limiting I find Concrete limiter is highly transparent...not sure why you find the opposite.
 
If it isn't to your taste then I second Voxengo Elephant.

Plugin Alliance,,,  DSM V2 Dynamic Spectrum Mapper is amazing once you learn how to use it correctly.
It blows multiband limiters away . I been putting one of these on my drum,bass,guit,voc Subs and my recordings are way punchier. Try the Demo but watch the video tutorial before trying it . Otherwise you will hate it at first

The T-Racks Brickwall Limiter is probably also worth a look. Great inexpensive plugin.

Concrete limiter is good. My favorite is LimiterNo.6. It's free, but don't hold that against it. It's 64 bit, and I also own Pro-L.
