I'm doing a lullaby album for my kiddos, so naturally I thought it needed a little Smashing Pumpkins, since I have no idea how to make kids sleep.

Here's a rendition of one of my favorite tracks of theirs, done acoustic/bluegrass style.

What a great cover... Nice playing, recording and production Dan.

I like your "bluegrass" take on this.

Have you considered adding vocals?

Just wondering...

I'm not familiar with the original, but I really liked this.   The instrumentation sounds great, genuine.   And the mix seems nicely balanced and smooth.

Superdan54,
I don't know the SP tune so I have to say this is the best version I've heard!  The mix sounds good on my system as does the playing.  Cool tune!  Smashing Pumpkins is the new counting sheep?

Don't know the Original , but this sounds nice and relaxed, good mix too.

Thanks for the comments! I thought about vocals, but thought the different interplay of instruments would be more intriguing.

I must admit I'm not very satisfied with the banjo tone, I settled with giving it more room than close mic, but neither really seem to bring out the transients correctly. I think it's easier to get a good tone out of a cat in heat !
