I predict that the Bakers will pull the plug on the CH life support.
I also predict that music will live and musicians will continue to be needed less. The trend will continue.
I predict that people will stop calling Ed, "Bapu" and just refer to him as "father" or "father of India".
I predict that more guitarist will continue to seek Gibsons rather than Heritage -after all, who wants a guitar built by the ones that made all the great Gibsons? Still best to buy a name, huh?...and justify it as an investment. (ducking and laughing)
I predict that the minimum wage will be raised and working musicians will still be working for less than minimum with no benefits. The ones that work that is. The rest will start using hats along with an open guitar case, with a jar, with a miniature basketball goal to entice people to make a 3 pointer with that quarter. Micro guitar amps will continue to see upward sells as street guitarist increase...due to people not being able to resist taking a shot at that goal.
Bapu will refuse to reply to "father" or "father of India" and write a song about a monkey named father of India...with a friend named Bapu. Misdirection at it's finest.

I disagree. There will be many, many musicians coming out of the various schools, but the market for music will keep expanding internationally. If china would only like western entertainment like they like Buicks, you Spacey could only get the crumbs of that cake and still be making a living. China would have to honor intellectual property though. We've finally settled on a way to monetize music Marketing still works. So those bands and musicians with the deepest pockets will continue to dominate.
Studying k-pop should be required reading for any M.B.A's.:D:D (can you believe schools have MBA's in music business? What a crock!)
Your's Truly,
Bert.
? You disagree that street musicians won't do Ok? Or that the little micro amps won't continue to sell? Or the little basketball goal won't help the jar?
Or do you disagree with all my predictions?
It's Ok if you do...after all they're mine so it doesn't matter. If I'm wrong nobody will be doggin' you about it anyway.
I don't need crumbs of the cake. Fortunately I don't crumbs at all. I did however know a guitarist with a wife vocalist named Crumb. They needed me occasionally...but it cost them plenty...wasn't crumbs either LOL.
