My Sonar X2 Power! is due to arrive at the end of April, replacing my X1 Power! book.
I find that one of my biggest challenges is understanding inputs and outputs and minimizing the time it takes me to move from having an idea I want to record, to actually recording it.
Thanks very much, Laura! I appreciate it. That's good news. Are you located overseas, which is why it's taking a little longer to receive the book?
One thing to look at in SONAR to get up and running quickly is project templates. You can create your own project template and have it set up with all the settings and tracks you'd like, complete with inputs/outputs already configured. Then when you want to start a new project, you just load the project template and you're ready to go. This is assuming, of course, that your mics are plugged in to the same inputs all the time.
Thanks!
Scott
