Ordered mine Wednesday, hoping to have it when I get home from work!
Few weeks reading sorted, Sonar X2 Power, Mixing secrets for a small studio (Mike Senior), latest Sound on Sound & a Music Techniques Mixing magazine!
Hey Damien... thanks very much! I really appreciate it and I hope you enjoy the book. Looks like you've got one very long study session ahead of you. Be sure to come up for breath and grab a beer every once in a while.

By the way, is that your guitar collection in your avatar picture?

Scott

There'll be plenty of berr consumption going on the next few weeks! And plenty of tea and biscuits too!! That is the collection, although a Taylor 110 has since been added too!

The nice thing about the size is that I am not squinting to see small pictures. The pictures of the software is a reasonable size and the print is not to tiny. I think the size is just right. The illustrations are a great size and very practical. It is kind of hard to achieve that with a small book. I am pretty happy with it and I recommend it to anyone who wants to be a sonar power user.
Hey Marcus... thanks very much for the great comments. Only if you have time... could you post a review up on Amazon and in the Cakewalk store?

By the way, very cool guitar performance videos on your site!

Hey Damien... LOL! Yes, a big tea drinker here too. Cool... now we need to see a picture of SONAR X2 Power! sitting next to your guitar collection.

Thanks!

I still have my collection of EM, Keyboard, MIX magazines, etc. They make for good reading, but are taking up too much space

Me too.  Over the last year or so I've been systematically reading and ditching (where appropriate) my older issues of those same mags, including Guitar Player, Remix, etc... going back to the late 1990's.   If nothing else, it's entertaining to read about the "current technology" from 10+ years ago.
So far I've gone through two milk crates and 1-1/2 filing cabinet drawers worth.  Only half more to go!

But I do have some keepers from the 70's and 80s that I could never get rid of...  Emerson, Wakeman, Howe, Vai, Hendrix, etc, etc.   Ah, nostalgia...

Hey Steve... Yeah, same here. I'm scanning the articles that I want to keep and converting them to PDF. They take up much less space now.  Still have a ton to go through though.

And I know what you mean about the keepers... I have that April '88 issue of Keyboard with Emerson in it. Is that the one you're talking about?

That's a good idea, Scott.   I have a pile that I've set aside for specific articles, so scanning them would work well for me too.   Thanks!

I think the '88 issue might the one, I think it was around the time he had carpal tunnel in his right hand...  though I nay have an older one too, I think.   Geez, I can't even remember what I have.   I just blame it on old age.
